What To Except at Your Visit
Your counselling process will start with a psychological assessment session. This will help up us to have a better understanding of your issues and what specific approach is needed for you to resolve these issues. We will collaboratively agree on the number of sessions that you may require or keep counselling open-ended and review the end date throughout the counselling process.
We will also discuss a therapy contract that will explain the process of therapy, risk management and confidentiality. Your understanding of these processes is very important in order to maintain an open and trusting nature of our therapeutic engagement.
From there onwards, we will engage in weekly or biweekly face to face or online counselling sessions. Our sessions will be compassionate and non-judgmental, where we will choose the pace that is comfortable for you.
Supervision
I have completed the British Psychological Society (BPS) accredited training in Clinical Supervision at The University of Manchester.
I offer face to face and online supervision for psychologists, counsellors, psychotherapists, pastors and other mental health professionals and trainees.
I work with The Seven-Eyed Model of Supervision that has been found to be most effective in encouraging reflection, awareness and improvement of professional self and practice.
